Hello

My workshop is based in the lovely village of Halton, just outside Lancaster in Lancashire on the edge of the River Lune. Its a calm, light and creative space and you are always welcome to come and visit me.

I hand-make all the pieces in the workshop from the first sketch to the finished piece of memorial glass. The wooden oak bases are hand made by a lovely man called Johhny at Boostar Wood.

I like to work closely with my customers to create a fitting tribute so if you have any questions, however small, please contact me and I will do my very best to help.

I know this isn't the easiest time for you and the pain of loss can be overwhelming. I have myself lost 4 close friends, and the love of my life, my dog Finn.

Most recently this year 2024 I lost my lovely friend Claire, I admit I went to a dark place, but having been there before I knew I would come out the other side. I am not just a business, I have an understanding of grief and a good listening ear

My Story

I originally studied Ceramics at Art college. I went on to run a Pottery workshop with young people with additional needs. I then helped set up a charity for young people. I came back up north and worked many years with children with complex needs. I somehow found myself in Occupational therapy.

In 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. To say that changed everything is an understatement! I had a double mastectomy and I am very well and healthy now. It gave me opportunity to re evaluate my life. I knew being creative was important to me but I had lost my way with that.

It is amazing having been through something like cancer, how it somehow gives you courage. I gave everything up, took what savings I had and rented a workshop in Halton. I started designing cremation ashes into glass memorials. At that time the only options were jewellery and paper weights, so I set about creating something different. Having trained in Ceramics I am now working on adding ceramics to my business
